Samir is back…

Hi guys, I am back from a week off, and I hope you will like this Napoli blog even more from now because… it will be like Daryl’s, I will ask you some questions on what formation to play, so it will be very interactive. Tell me, it’s a good idea?

I thought about this when I saw your answers in my last poll, whether my Napoli plays good or not, and the majority was that I should play a LOT better. And, I think that the only way to make Napoli play the way YOU want or like is making YOU decide on what Napoli play. Sorry to Daryl for copying him, but I think we should really try it.

The first one to decide on is against Cagliari, last time beaten by us by 3-0. Against PSV in last game, I played this formation:

For me the best one was Dalla Bona, but the whole team played ok. Insua is squalified, and Gargano and Gignac are injured, no good, but if you guys are good managers we can do very good. Here are the options:

1. Cagliari play a 4-3-1-2, and somehow attacking, their defenders are no great, but the mids are very good in defending. What should I play, a 4-3-3 not so attacking, or very attacking 4-1-2-1-2?

2. In the defense, Hoogland can be back to the DR, but I am not very sure on who to playing in CB, with Insua injured. Cannavaro defensive and Rinaudo more attacking to help the DMC in case of 4-1-2-1-2 or maybe both Cannavaro and Contini playing very defensive?

3. In case of 4-3-3, Bogliacino, Mannini and Dalla Bona will play in the mid, but how? Mannini mid-right very attacking, or mid-left very defensive? While Bogliacino should play centre and attacking, or Dalla Bona centre with def mentality. Instead, with a 4-1-2-1-2, what will happen, Mannini or Bogliacino behind the strikers and Dalla Bona, Bogliacino or Mannini in DMC?

4. Now the strikers. Gignac is injured, and that’s a problem. He was the one who connected the midfield with Keirrison in my 4-4-2. But now, it’s different. With a 4-3-3, Zalayeta or Keirrison in the right and defensive to connect the mid to the attack? And who in the left, Yague, Lewandoskwi or Kadlec? While, in case of 4-1-2-1-2, who should I play and with what mentality?

5. Team instructions. Very creative and short, or less creative and direct and large? And in the defense, man or loose marking, and a high or deep line?

It’s up to you now, decide, and tell me whether this new method is good. Sorry for the long questions, but it’s only the first time, next should be better. See ya, and answer quickly.

C’mon guys!! Remember, it’s you now who decide what Napoli plays… It’s up to you.. Answer the questions:
    1. Cagliari play a 4-3-1-2, and somehow attacking, their defenders are no great, but the mids are very good in defending. What should I play, a 4-3-3 not so attacking, or very attacking 4-1-2-1-2?

    Ok Samir,

    1. It will be better a 4-3-3 not so attacking…
    2. Cannavaro and Contini will save you the game..
    3. Bogliacino attacking in left, Dalla Bona defensive in centre, and Mannini right mid-mentality.
    4. Keirrison in right to connect the mid, Zalayeta in centre, and Yague in the left. You gotta give that youngster an opportunity.
    5. I will say a large and direct because of good defensive Cagliari… Loose marking and high def…
